For those of you who have been to this site before, you'll see that it has dramatically changed due to a decision by the site host to start charging for what was once a totally free homepage. If you're familiar with this year model Celica at all, especially the normally aspirated Celica, you'll soon find out that the aftermarket industry does not make performance enhancing parts at all for this car. There are however tons of factory stock parts for the car though. But the very few that offer aftermarket parts we surely applaude. You will find that companies like TRD (Toyota's own in-house performance-oriented lab), Toysport, etc. do not nor carry anything for the car. It's almost mind boggling that manufacturers carry and stock parts for 70s Celicas, early 80s Celicas and then entirely skip the late 80s Celica GT and then pick it back up again on the 90s model Celicas. That's where ingenuity and resourcefulness takes charge. I have researched and contacted every lead I had and stumble on both in Japan, Europe, and who knows where else! The best tool to have against such a huge obstacle is resourcefulness and willing to jump in there and figure things out on your own and learn about the car a great deal more rather than rely on a company, to beg them to even consider making a production run of a part. You will find within this site a lot of listed parts on the car as being custom. That means simply, I have looked everywhere and found no luck so I went ahead and made and fabricated the pieces myself. Now I do not work at a body shop or an auto shop, come to think of it, I work as an architectural interior designer during the day. But, on the weekends, that's when I try to work on my car. Take a look at the pictures on this site and may you be inspired as well. I don't know how all those other people out there (most of them young teenagers) get the money to put together their cars in a week but I've been working on this car since 1994! That should give you an idea of a real time development to modifying a car with real world conditions, meaning, real world bills and expenses not even car related. This is my very first and current car, an 88 Toyota Celica GT, ST162 that I purchased back in 1994 from its original owner who purchased in turn a 94 Celica and decided to just park this car out in the street under a tree showered by tree sap and bird droppings.
